About the role

We are looking for an energetic person who is self-motivated and adaptable and positive about supporting our pupils. Your practice will enhance and support our already committed and passionate team.

The role will involve working within the classroom (currently Key Stage 2) supporting pupils with their learning individually, in small groups and as a larger class. You will be working closely with experienced class teachers and the school SENCO to provide support for pupils, helping them to flourish in their personal development and learning. We can offer you a supportive and professional working environment where there will be opportunities to develop and further your expertise and contribute to the life of school and education of the children.

We need someone who is:

  • Compassionate and caring, patient and intuitive and with a good sense of fun.
  • An interest in Autism Spectrum Condition.
  • An interest in dyslexia and ability to work with the class teachers to adapt learning tasks to suit the children.
  • Able to work well alongside colleagues in well-established and successful teams.
  • Able to read advice from outside agencies and put into practice in the classroom and in individual sessions.
  • Able to engage warmly and confidently with children and colleagues.
