Job description: We have partnered with our global client that specialises in analytics and digital solutions to improve businesses with a key industry focus of insurance, healthcare, banking and financial services. They are recruiting for a Technical Accountant with a background in with a background in reinsurance technical accounting. This role offers the flexibility of working on a hybrid basis, along with ample opportunities for both vertical and horizontal growth.

You as the Technical Accountant provide strategic and operational support to the business team whilst managing quarterly technical cedant closing activities. As the Technical Accountant technical verification of statement of account from contracts signed between reinsurer and insurance companies, brokers etc.

You as the Technical Accountant will handling of accounts and verification of the reported numbers especially contractual obligations like profit commission, no claim bonus, prem adjustments and large losses including cash calls. As the Technical Accountant review of Large Technical booking of reinsurance premiums and losses & Cash Calls as per established guidelines including escalation to Claims operations for Cash call processing etc

Requirements:

• Min of 8+ years’ experience working in finance as an Accountant within reinsurance or insurance space.
• Qualified accountant.
• Working knowledge or experience with:

• Reinsurance Technical accounting
• P&C Reinsurance Business
• Technical verification of statement of account from contracts signed.
• Handling of accounts and Verification of the reported numbers.
• Review of Large Technical booking of reinsurance premiums and losses and cash calls.
• Working with Underwriters or market (Broker/Cedants).

Note. The level is slightly flexible so if you’re slightly less or more experienced as a Technical Accountant please do reach out.

Salary – TBC

Location – London (Hybrid)

Duration – permanent.
