Job Summary:
The Technical Author is responsible for documenting all automotive functional safety work products and safety processes whilst working with the full support of a Functional Safety team. You will be responsible for managing the documentation plans and control, across the product development, management of production related documentation, test documentation and customer related documents. You will support the delivery of highest level of quality products within autonomous, robotic driving portfolio.
Responsibilities:
Derive the project documentation from concept up to product ramp up working with the team.
Ensure trackability and traceability of documents, and its content.
Alignment with project managers and marketing teams with respect to customer requirements on documentations.
Write safety manual, datasheets, work instructions and project work product templates.
Review safety work product documentation content against the safety requirements checklists prepared by the functional safety team.
Release safety work products for review and approval in company systems.
Working with functional safety team, write confirmation review reports, product safety release reports and ensure compliance with ISO26262 and with any interconnecting standards that project, and product requires to follow.
Support Functional Safety Managers and other safety authorities with respect to achieving all safety ISO26262 documentation requirements and provide inputs for independent confirmation reviews and audits.
Manage deviations and drive continuous improvement for the project and product development authorship and documentation.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in science or engineering;
3-5 years of professional technical authorship experience in an automotive systems and components industry. Alternative experience in life sciences, automotive, aviation, robotics or medical safety engineering.
Experience in product development and crafting the associated documentation.
