Role Purpose
In this role you will be working as a technical business analyst within the ATM & self-serve team who are responsible for Travelex’s global ATM estate and self-serve products.
Reporting to the Senior Business Analyst, you’ll provide Business Analysis (focusing on the technical elements) to support E2E project delivery.
You will be supporting cross functional projects, this will involve working with stakeholders at all levels including C-suite interaction therefore excellent communication and stakeholder management skills are a must. Additionally, you will be contributing to multiple projects concurrently so you will need strong time management and prioritisation skills.
Initially you will be supported by the Senior BA and the wider ATM & self-serve team to learn and understand the unique Travelex ATM landscape. Into the future, the role will be responsible for helping support and further develop the technology solutions that support Travelex’s ATM and Self-Service products such as changes/improvements to integrations into downstream systems such as back office and MI reporting systems.
Key Accountabilities
Ensuring all business requirements for change initiatives are captured, understood, documented and signed off by stakeholders.
Translating requirements into functional and non-functional requirements (in use cases) and ensuring these are effectively communicated to internal and external teams working on the build and testing.
Analyse and document processes, work flows and systems architecture.
Support with analysis of new product developments, understand the business problems and opportunities to fix those problems.
Facilitate brainstorming sessions to elicit requirements from a range of SMEs across internal and external stakeholders.
Support the product development by enabling and challenging existing processes and solutions through the requirements gathering phase.
Ensuring requirements and deliverables comply with company policy, card scheme and regulatory requirements such as audit, legal, data protection act, PCI and cyber security.
Support and feed into all aspects of the project lifecycle including initiation, project build, testing, implementation & go live, success criteria, BAU transition and project closure.
Identification of dependencies, risks and blockers throughout the project processes, ensuring these are communicated analysed with options and mitigations to minimise the impact.
Identify opportunities to enhance available MI data
Work with team Project Managers to join up requirements and delivery plans.
Develop sound professional working relationships with the business and IT colleagues, building their confidence and acquiring an understanding of the business.
Work with the ATM transformation team to identify and deliver continuous improvement and quality standards for change.
Establish and maintain good working relationships with internal and external stakeholders / SME’s.
General
Undertakes any necessary training associated with the duties of the post and participates in training and development procedures
Complies with Travelex policies and standards
Maintains confidentiality and observes data protection guidelines
Able to be flexible in respect of working hours from time to time regarding the global nature of the business.
Experience and Personal Qualities
Proven background working in technology with systems integration and infrastructure projects
Ability to explain technical requirements to non-technical stakeholders so they have a high level understanding
Previous experience working as a project business analyst or similar role
The ability to analyse issues, develop solutions & options and present and to influence key decisions
Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills
Strong business analysis skills such as attention to detail, ability to prepare clear and accurate documentation & business delivery skills
Strong teamwork, facilitation and negotiation skills
Strong analytical and technical skills
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Excellent planning and organizational skills, including multitasking and time-management
Ability to understand the long-term (“big picture”) and short-term
Ability to work in both Agile/Scrum delivery model as well as traditional waterfall along with understanding full project/development life cycle.

Excellent Microsoft Office skills, including familiarity with Visio
Desirable
IT / computer technology A level or equivalent/higher qualification (or qualified by experience).
Business Analysis Qualification
Understanding of Card Schemes and Payment Gateways
Understanding of ATM and/or Self-Service Systems
