Job description: Technical & IT Manager for Network, CCTV, Access Control and Electronic Integrated Security
Ideal Location: Hertfordshire, Essex, Middlesex, Cambridgeshire, Bedfordshire, Bucks.
You will be an energetic and influential team member, currently working within a senior technical integrator environment and have a proven track record and qualifications in Networking – particularly in the Electronic Security Industry and specifically in the integration of complex CCTV and Access Control over Networks.
The opportunity: To join a dynamic team as the ‘go to’ technical authority in an ambitious and innovative SME, with an enviable reputation in the CCTV and Access Control management of over 28% of UK Shopping Centre market. Other clients include local government councils, leisure complexes and commercial premises. Job offering: Reporting directly to the Managing Director, you will be responsible for the technical health, integrity and future-proofing of the Company’s offering in Network, CCTV and Access Control disciplines.
This is a self-determined role and will involve both, home based, office based and ‘location’ projects. Included in this role is the lead responsibility for the Company’s own IT day-to-day operation and future planning. You will need to be energetic, hands-on and committed to setting an example by your own work ethic and technical knowledge.
Your role will involve
- Take the lead on the company’s goal to achieve ISO 27001.
- Be available to take the lead role in the final commissioning of the Network, CCTV and Access Control of major projects if required.
- Provide support to resolve technical issues in the day-to-day management of the Company’s customer base and major projects.
- Assist and review the Company’s technical competence and training programs.
- Taking the lead role and carry through to a conclusion on technical initiatives.
- Deliver timely security reports to stakeholders.
- Implement security standards and best practices.
Your profile & qualifications

- Strong communication and leadership skills.
- Passion for security policies and technology.
- Good organisational skills, particularly in organising your own time, and maintaining high and recognisable standards throughout your own commitments.
- Knowledge of ISO 27001.
- A naturally intuitive approach to problem solving and fault finding.
- A hunger to learn and excel in front of your customers and colleagues, as well as patience in the pursuit of resolving problems.
- Good administrative house-keeping.
- Equally comfortable working independently as well as able to be a team player when required.
