We’re seeking a professional with a passion for training and a proven track record of developing and implementing impactful training programs to join our dynamic team as a Technical Training Manager.

Signature TECHNICAir, is a global provider of aircraft maintenance, repair, and overhaul specializing in small to mid-size, turbine-powered business aircraft, with locations throughout the United States and Europe. As a division of Signature Aviation, Signature TECHNICAir EMEA operates a full service, CAA & EASA certified Part 145 Repair Station at Bournemouth airport, in conjunction with strategically positioned mobile service units based at Farnborough and Luton airports that serve a wide range of capabilities, across the UK and Europe.

Role Summary

Signature TechnicAir is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Technical Training Manager to join our team in Bournemouth. As the Technical Training Manager, you will play a pivotal role in developing and implementing training programs that ensure our employees have the necessary knowledge and skills to excel in their roles. This is a critical position that directly contributes to Signature TechnicAir’s success.

The core of your new role:

  • Curriculum Development: Manage and oversee the design and update training curricula to align with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and technological advancements in aviation maintenance
  • Training Programme Management: Coordinate and manage aviation maintenance training programmes, including scheduling, resource allocation, and logistics to ensure effective and efficient training delivery
  • Regulatory Compliance: Stay informed about aviation regulations and standards to ensure that training programmes adhere to and meet all necessary compliance requirements
  • Instructional Design: Work with subject matter experts to create engaging and effective instructional materials, including manuals, presentations, and multimedia content
  • Evaluation and Assessment: Implement methods to assess the effectiveness of training programmes, gather feedback, and continuously improve the quality of training delivery
  • Team Collaboration: Collaborate with various departments, including operations, safety, and quality assurance, to identify training needs and develop targeted programs to address those needs
  • Technology Integration: Explore and integrate new technologies, such as simulation tools and virtual reality, to enhance training methodologies and keep pace with advancements in aviation maintenance
  • Performance Monitoring: Establish mechanisms to monitor the performance and progress of trainees, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions as needed

About you:

  • Batchelor’s degree in aviation, Engineering or related field or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 5 years in aircraft maintenance or aircraft-based field.
  • Strong understanding of aviation and aerospace technical principles and industry standards.
  • Acceptable to the CAA for a Form 4 post holder role.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proficient in computer skills, particularly MS Office.
  • Fluent in spoken and written English.
  • Willing and able to travel for the role, both within TechnicAir site and internationally.
  • Adept leader with a demonstrated track record of driving team success.
  • Possess a strong commercial acumen, with a solid understanding of market fundamentals regarding services, customers, and competitors. Able to capitalize on opportunities.
  • Professional ‘can do’ attitude with strong problem solving and critical thinking skills.
