About the Role
- Opportunity for an early-career animal scientist seeking to develop their teaching practice in a hands-on, practical learning environment
- Delivery of practical sessions across a range of animal science modules, with a focus on laboratory-based teaching related to animal health, disease, anatomy, physiology, and general biology
- Part of assessment teams and conducting assessments within those teams
- Supporting the coordination and administration of practical elements of the curriculum, including practical classes and training sessions involving canines
- A key member of the team as we continue to evolve our curriculum and pedagogical delivery
About You
- Willing to complete a teaching qualification within two years of appointment
- Postgraduate degree in a relevant subject area, PhD desirable, particularly applicants with a background in animal/canine biology or general animal science
- Confident working around a range of animal species, in particular dogs
- Relevant industry (including laboratory) experience within the subject field would be an advantage
- Supporting higher education programme delivery, you are enthusiastic
- A candidate with excellent communication skills, experience and able to work professionally
