We are seeking a dedicated and hands-on Automotive Engineering Technician to join our team at Wrexham University.
In this role, you will play a crucial part in supporting the practical education of our students and assisting them in their automotive engineering investigations. Your expertise and understanding of the challenges in the automotive industry will be instrumental in providing valuable guidance to our aspiring automotive engineers. The ability to communicate in Welsh is desirable.
Key Responsibilities:
Hands-On Expertise: As an Automotive Engineering Technician, you will be responsible for hands-on activities related to automotive systems, components, and technologies. Your practical knowledge will be essential in maintaining and operating automotive equipment and machinery.
Student Support: Collaborate with students on their practical investigations, providing guidance and assistance as they work on automotive projects. Your mentorship will contribute to their skill development and understanding of automotive engineering principles.
Equipment Maintenance: Ensure the proper maintenance and calibration of automotive laboratory equipment and tools. Keep them in optimal working condition to facilitate effective learning and research.
Safety Compliance: Enforce safety protocols and guidelines within the automotive laboratory. Promote a safe working environment for students and staff, emphasising the importance of following safety procedures in the automotive industry.
Industry Insight: Share your insights into the challenges and advancements in the automotive industry with students, helping them gain a real-world perspective on the field. Stay updated on the latest automotive technologies and trends.
