Job description: The Accounts Assistant will be responsible for supporting the day-to-day financial activities of the business, including tasks such as processing invoices, maintaining financial records, and collaborating with different departments.This role is vital to the success of the business, and requires keen attention to detail.

Invoice Processing:

  • Review and processing invoices in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Verify the accuracy of invoices, ensuring proper documentation and authorization.

Bookkeeping:

  • Maintain and update financial records, including ledgers and journals.
  • Record day-to-day financial transactions and ensuring they are accurately reflected.

Bank Reconciliation:

  • Reconcile bank statements to ensure consistency between bank records and financial transactions.

Expense Management:

  • Manage and track company expenses, including employee reimbursement claims.
  • Verify and reconcile statements and receipts.

Assisting with Financial Reports:

  • Support the preparation of financial reports and statements.
  • Compile data and generating reports for review by senior financial staff.

Data Entry:

  • Conduct various data entry tasks related to financial information, ensuring accuracy and completeness.

Collaboration with Departments:

  • Collaborate with other departments to gather financial information and resolve discrepancies.
  • Provide support to colleagues and answering queries related to financial transactions.

Compliance:

  • Ensure compliance with accounting policies, procedures, and relevant regulations.
  • Assist in the preparation of documentation for audits.

Use of Accounting Software:

  • Utilise accounting software to perform various tasks, such as data entry, reconciliation, and reporting.

Administrative Support:

  • Provide general administrative support to the finance team.
  • Assist with special projects or tasks as assigned by supervisors.
