Tooling Development Engineer – £35 per hour Inside IR35 – 12 Months (extensions highly likely) – Cheshire – standard 35 hours across 4.5 days (working between 7-7) – Hybrid (60% onsite) – One stage interview – Sector: Aerospace and Defence

Yolk Recruitment are searching for a Project Leader to work with a renowned Aerospace company for an initial 12-month period.

You will ensure the implementation of major Jig and Tooling-related projects and deliverables to the operational teams. Also liaising with key stakeholders at all levels and managing suppliers to meet required time frames.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure successful industrialisation of Jigs and Tools assets
  • Integrate mature industrial technologies in link with R&D
  • Design and/or specify the requested Jigs and Tools assets according to requirements from Manufacturing Engineering Process
  • Ensure the provided solution is fully integrated within the industrial system through a robust acceptance process set on defined Key Performance Indicators
  • Integrate Maintenance inputs/feedback in Jig & Tool Work Specification
  • Support in all the activities where a Jig and/or Tool asset is involved
  • Root cause analysis of Non-Conformities and improvement projects
  • Contribute to the purchasing phases

Essentials

  • Experience in a manufacturing and engineering environment
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management
  • Jigs and tooling experience within a similar industry/background

Desirables

  • Aerospace/aviation experience
  • Experience managing a team

Expected salary: £35 per hour
