The Opportunity
BakerHicks works on a variety of large exciting projects across various sectors. This Trainee Commercial Manager position will initially support the Senior Commercial Manager in managing all of the projects commercial elements, working collaboratively with various Project Managers to ensure this information is accurate and available.
You will build strong relationships with Project Managers for all contracts to enable accurate project reporting and appropriate contract administration. You will also work closely with the sector and discipline directors and the finance team.
This position would suit someone with a desire to utilise or develop existing numerical & analytical skills or graduates from a business or finance background with the desire to develop their commercial knowledge when delivering commercial projects
What you will do
- Assist in Contract reporting including Cost Value Reconciliation (CVR) production before taking sole responsibility, as well as interrogation of costs incurred to date and to complete
- Assist in contract variation / change management process with input from the PM, including maintenance of change register
- Generating applications for payment and invoices
- Working with discipline leads to challenge forecasted cost to complete

About You
You will have a strong affinity for numbers and the ability to interpret them, but also be able to build credible relationships across the business with various stakeholders.
- You will have experience/ a background in Commercial or Finance
- Degree qualified or qualified through experience
- You will be a British passport holder and able to obtain security clearance
