The Opportunity:
Edinburgh College of Art’s practice-based Film and TV department are looking for documentary filmmakers to teach postgraduate film-making students on our documentary-focussed MA in Film Directing.
The successful candidate will assist with teaching, assessment and feedback across a variety of postgraduate courses from the start of the 2024 academic year. The courses have specified learning outcomes and sit within the MA(Hons)Film Directing programme.
Applications are invited for a Guaranteed Hours (GH), open ended contract as a Tutor in Design on the following courses:
- Documentary Film Development DESI11123
- Filming your documentary DESI11125
- Finalising Your Documentary: The Edit DESI11124
Your skills and attributes for success:
- Experience of documentary filmmaking practice to a high, international standard
- Ability to work within a team with a collegial attitude, respect and sensitivity toward students and other staff members.
- Ability to apply professional practice experience from real life situations to enhance student understanding
- An enthusiastic, positive and creative approach to teaching
