This role will work within the Birmingham Delivery Centre team, serving a global automotive client. The team creates brand communications, delivering award-winning creative and marketing effectiveness across end-to-end customer communications.

Role Overview:

The Content QA works as part of the Content Team and reports to the Content Lead. As a Content QA you will be responsible for reviewing the creative and content briefs ensuring that they have been created on the website accurately and to our digital guidelines via the Content Editor. Once you are happy a brief is complete you will also be responsible for ensuring that this appears correctly (‘goes live’) across our client websites.

You will work on a variety of projects from news and PR related content to full global vehicle reveals. This will be a mix of working in the content management system itself as well as the preview and live versions of the clients website.

Candidates will need to have a keen eye for detail and be a proactive problem solver with a strong work ethic and be willing to challenge issues that they find in quality. The ultimate goal is to ensure that we get high quality creative work out on our websites that accurately matches the original brief. Communication is therefore a key part of the role, providing feedback on any quality issues and ensuring they are fixed.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure that all work leaving the Content Editing team is completed to a high-quality standard, in line with the requirements of the brief and to deadlines.
  • Understand in detail the creative, projects briefs, and overall style guides of the website to ensure that projects leave the team matching these.
  • Adhoc spot checks/quality control of the website
  • Understanding of the entire site components
  • Clarify any points on the brief in order to ensure work is delivered right-first time.
  • Work closely with the entire team to communicate the status of a project.
  • Understand, document and adhere to the QA policies and procedures.
  • Accurately launch all digital content approved by the client.
  • Responsible for the resolution or escalation of risks or issues in the Content Editing team which will affect project or amendment delivery.
  • Work on improvement initiatives, spot trends and suggest changes to benefit the team.

Person Specification

Experience/Skills:

  • Right first time ethos
  • A keen eye for detail and quality, ensuring that nothing falls below the highest standards
  • Ability to spot errors and proactive in implementing improvements
  • Strong communication skills and proactive in suggesting optimisations/quick wins
  • Able to co-ordinate workload and manage multiple projects at one time
  • Able to operate effectively in a global environment focused on delivering goals to a high quality
  • Strong problem solving mentality
  • Experience of using a Content Management System such as Sharepoint or Adobe AEM
  • Ability to understand both technical requirements as well as creative mandatories

Necessary Skills and Experience:

  • Full training will be provided but prior experience is preferred, particularly Sharepoint or Adobe Experience Manager
  • Experience of demonstratable skills in quality and content review process’
