Summary:

Are you an experienced teaching professional who enjoys working collaboratively? We have an exciting opportunity in the School of Education for someone to jointly lead the Science subject-based element of the PGDE programme, linking closely with seconded school-based colleagues to ensure effective delivery of your subject area. This will involve designing and redeveloping teaching programmes for modules in consultation with the PGDE team, and making use of current resources as well as selecting new teaching methods, resources and reading, and determining, designing and producing study material. You will supervise students on school placements. This will include making school visits during school placements, responding to emails, supporting students when they apply for teaching posts and dealing with any school-based issues as they arise.

You will have proven teaching ability, with a teaching qualification & experience of successful teaching within the secondary school system.
