Job description: We’re looking for a skilled and experienced User Experience (UX) Designer to take responsibility for the UX of Kew’s Digital Products. These products include websites, digital screens, portals and apps – with a mix of commercial and non-commercial objectives.
Alongside our live products, there are several projects in development across Kew that this role would support and contribute towards. The largest of these projects is the development of a single basket e-commerce platform. The UX Designer role will take responsibility for the UX elements of this project with immediate focus.

The UX Designer is responsible for ensuring that the user is represented throughout the design and development process at Kew, from initial conception through to delivery, and into ongoing iterative improvement. They will take a research-driven approach to determine user needs, and then develop and test wireframes and designs that balance user needs, technical constraints and business goals.
Some of the main responsibilities/skills of this role are:
- User Journey Mapping/Process Mapping
- Data analysis
- Research and user testing
- Conversion Rate Optimisation
- Wireframing and prototyping
- Supporting the Digital Design team and external partners to create, test, launch and optimise developments.
- Stakeholder engagement and collaboration
- Project/task management
- Designing for complex, omni-channel Customer Journeys
This role is based at Kew with the option of regular home working, subject to operational requirements.
Interviews are planned w/c 29th of January 2024.

The salary will be £43,123 – £50,059 per annum, depending on skills and experience.
