Job title: VAT Accounting Supervisor

Job description:
- Liaise with VAT related stakeholders including HMRC, VAT advisors to provide advice and guidance on VAT related matters
- Complete any necessary year end calculations
- Implement recommendations within the finance team
- Liaise with internal stakeholders to manage Vat and other indirect tax issues in line with codes of practise
- Identify means of minimising tax liabilities
- Calculate partial exemptions
The Person
As the successful candidate you will have the following background and experience:
Essential:
- Degree or equivalent qualification in business related subject
- Alongside degree, have 2 years relevant experience in: producing regular VAT returns for an organisation, Advise on VAT implications, Liaising with HMRC, Calculating partial exemptions
- OR for non-degree route demonstrate 4 years relevant experience in: producing regular VAT returns for an organisation, Advise on VAT implications, Liaising with HMRC, Calculating partial exemptions
- Extensive knowledge of VAT and associated exemptions
