- Preparing vehicles for painting by cleaning, sanding, and masking areas
- Filling cavities and dents with appropriate fillers
- Ensuring surfaces are smooth and ready for painting
- Applying primer and other coatings as required
- Inspecting completed work to ensure quality standards are met
Required Qualifications:
- Experience working in a similar role within the automotive industry
- Knowledge of vehicle painting and preparation techniques
- Attention to detail and ability to work to high-quality standards
Education:Relevant vocational qualifications in automotive painting and preparationExperience:Minimum of 2 years of experience in vehicle preparationKnowledge and Skills:
- Understanding of different types of fillers and coatings
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently
- Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity
Preferred Qualifications:
- Additional training in vehicle refinishing
- Health and Safety certifications related to automotive work
Working Conditions:
- Full-time position with regular working hours
- Work primarily in a workshop environment
- May involve standing for extended periods and lifting heavy objects
