Job description: An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Warehouse & Fulfilment Manager

You will oversee all deliveries into the warehouse, working with all internal and external stakeholders to ensure 3PL partner processes are cost-effective and network providers deliver to the agreed SLAs with the end customer in mind.

Main Duties

  • Support Sales and Customer Service teams to achieve OTIF for all customer orders processed through the warehouse.
  • Track the order book and coordinate with the warehouse to ensure timely dispatches/deliveries and escalating issues as and when required.
  • To monitor all warehouse SLA’s (3PL performance & courier performance)
  • To monitor inventory accuracy, storage utilization and ensure all positive and negative adjustments are investigated and resolved with both internal and external responsible parties.
  • To work with the Demand Planning team to ensure timely volume forecasts to enable the efficient planning of the warehouse resources.
  • To work with the warehouse and Customer Service team to ensure all returns are recorded accurately and processed in a timely manner.
  • Monitor shipments from collection to final delivery for imports and communicate with couriers and transport companies.
  • To liaise with forwarding companies to ensure direct shipments to end customers are arranged with correct paperwork (subject to regulations and international laws) to enable customs clearance across geographies.
  • To process Invoices through banking system for export customers via Letters of Credit and Cash against document shipments
  • Coordinate and arrange transport for medium to large sized shipments to European customers.
  • Monthly reconciliation of 3PL costs
  • Ensure all claims are lodged and followed through to a satisfactory conclusion.
  • Monitor Rework Costs to ensure charges match accepted quotes.
  • To research, negotiate and publish negotiated freight rates
  • Working with both internal and external parties continually strive and seek out process and system improvements that improve performance and reduce costs.

Skills Required:

  • Warehouse Operations Management at a Senior Supervisor or Manager level with a minimum of 5 years’ experience
  • Previous experience in working and/or coordinating with a forwarder.
  • Knowledge of import/export procedures & documentation
  • Able to input and deliver company strategy to the business.
  • Warehouse management certification or similar qualifications.
  • Proficient in Excel, Word
  • Negotiation skills
  • Knowledge of WMS and SAP
