We’re also now part of the Travis Perkins Group, recognised as one of the UK’s top employers.You don’t need to come from our sector or even know our products, as we will provide you with a great on-boarding and induction.What will I be doing?Play an integral part in branch operations specifically in a small warehouse team in a busy specialist operation, ensuring that adequate provision is made for customer deliveries, that branch layout is right and standards for safety, storage efficiency, housekeeping, and ability of customers to find products they might want to buyLoad company vehicles in organised and efficient manner to ensure no stock damage and to minimise delivery time.Ensures the delivery nates correlates exactly with the parcels prior to loading the vehicle including cross dock ordersEnsure safe and correct delivery of an order to customers’ premises and visually checks the stock is in good condition before obtaining a proof of delivery signatureAssist in preparing orders for delivery including picking, checking and packingAssist in all aspects of production within the warehouse as delegated by the management teamEnsure safe and correct return of stock by visually checking and signing for all customer returnsComplete daily/weekly paperwork including declaration.Assists in maintaining a safe and clean working environmentAdhere to all site Health & Safety requirementsEnsure correct manual handling techniques are used at all timesAble to plan and prioritise effectively to meet deadlinesWhat’s in it for you?A competitive salary and annual bonus22 days holiday plus bank holidays plus the option to purchase additional holiday daysGreat discounts across the Travis Perkins Group businesses, including Toolstation.A huge range of online discounts at leading retailers from theme parks to eating outEmployee assistance programme and wellbeing supportCompetitive family friendly HR policiesBeing a Warehouse Assistant/Driver in the Travis Perkins Group gives you a fantastic opportunity to excel and to continue to develop your career, if you choose.
