Job description: RMS Recruitment are currently recruiting for a Warehouse Contract Supervisor on behalf of one our clients based in Spennymoor, who are a leading client within transport and logistics.

The role is to supervise the day-to-day operation of the contract for a major UK drinks company.

You will predominantly be working on a back shift role (12PM until 8PM, Monday to Friday). Hours of work reflect the contract requirement with a minimum of 40 hours paid per week. The salary for the role is £14 per hour and is a temporary to permanent position.

Due to the nature of the contract the workload will increase at peak periods during the year, and periods of overtime and weekend working will be required. The duties of this role will include supervision of a team of 4 staff working across a 5 day a week. The Supervisor will report directly to the Warehouse Manager and have close links with our customer daily.

You will be expected to assist with increasing performance levels of staff under your charge and highlight areas of poor performance and training needs.

Counterbalance FLT experience is required for the role, certification from a recognised body preferred, however training/refresher training will be given to the successful applicant.

As part of the Supervisors role, you may be required to undertake training at our customer’s site.

Annual Leave allowance of 20 days plus 8 days for statutory leave.

Please note: Due to the nature of the contract dates of the UK statutory holidays are seen as normal working days. If you are successful in gaining a position, a Drugs & Alcohol Test will be conducted on your first day. This will include a hair sample, which goes back 90 days.
