Our client “Eriks” is a manufacturing company based in Barnsley town centre who are looking for a dedicated Warehouse Operative / Driver to join their busy, friendly team.
This will be a varied role which involves training in all aspects of the warehouse and assisting with driving duties, the role offers a permanent position for someone looking to build a long-term career.

Details:

  • Monday to Friday, 8am – 5pm (weekends off)
  • Pay Rate: Warehouse £10.82 per hour / Driving £11.25 per hour
  • 40 hours per week
  • Opportunity for long term work

Main duties of the job:

  • 50/50 assistance within the Warehouse and Driving duties (standard UK driver’s license required)
  • Quality checking parts, counting of products and assisting with goods in or despatch
  • Picking orders using paper pick sheets, operating a bagging machine to seal bags, labelling, shrink wrapping and palletising stock
  • Various other warehouse duties when needed
  • Driving duties would include; Meeting customers at the Hull site and providing quality face to face customer service
  • Loading and unloading of the van ready for delivery
  • Checking and completing paperwork once drop offs have been completed

Skills Required

  • Experience within a Warehouse environment
  • Suitable candidates must be available to assist with Driving duties as well as Warehouse Duties (50/50 split across the year)
  • Friendly, approachable and positive attitude towards work and others
  • Excellent attention to detail and the ability to work alone as well as in a team
  • Ability to meet targets and deadlines
