Meridian Business Support are recruiting for a Warehouse Manager for their client based in Stone Staffordshire.
Summary of the role:
To maximise the performance of the operation by directing the daily, weekly and monthly activities, providing leadership, motivation, training and development of the workforce, executing against customer requirements.
The Key accountability’s for the Warehouse Manager will be:
Health, Safety and Compliance
Comply with H&S audit requirements
Actively engage workforce in Safety Culture
Maintain and audit database of equipment to ensure serviceability
Maintain systems and processes
Responsible for risk assessing and investigations
Responsible for staff welfare throughout
Inventory Accuracy
Liaise with inventory manager to ensure accurate records of inventory are kept and any + / – are accounted for
Manage the inbound flow of returns
Report on unexpected returns to the DC
Validate integrity of authorised inventory returns and damages
Identify, remove and report damages found within the Stone DC
Investigate occurrences of damage
Drive performance and set out clear expectations provide continuous feedback and manage attendance, conduct and personnel issues inline with company polices
Maintain a suite of KPI’s, investigate variances
Identify opportunities for improvement in service, cost, quality and personnel
Promote LEAN principles
Participate in projects at a company level
Liaise, support and develop effective working relationships with internal and external customers
Provide feedback on expectations and achievements
Budgetary Responsibility
Ensure accurate records of spend are approved and recorded
Report actual spend versus budget expectations and advise on discrepancy’s
Investigate ways to improve efficiency and reduce costs continually
The ideal candidate will have:
4 years experience in the above or a similar role • IOSH, or similar H&S qualification • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications • Experience in using WMS systems • Ability to adapt to new ideas and learn quickly. • A good motivator of people. • To have an expectation of high standards in the working environment. • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written • Able to demonstrate strong leadership • Ability to prioritise business requirements • Understands and demonstrates the culture and values of the business within his/her team. • Ability to influence and persuade others Benefits: • 25 days holiday per year (plus bank holidays) • 1 Paid volunteering day per year • Birthday day off • Staff Discount • Enhanced Employer pension contributions • Access to health benefits (cash plan / health insurance) • 2pm Friday finish
Working hours are (approx): 8am – 4pm/9am – 5pm Monday – Friday. 2pm finish on Fridays.
