Job Description

You will be based at our impressive state of the art 2.5m square foot Distribution Centre in Shirebrook, with oversight of operational training across our other Warehouses within the UK.

You will support our ambition to transform our warehousing and logistics operation by coordinating the operations training, partnering the L&D team and collaborating with different functions to ensure all relevant parties are aligned to the ambition of the agenda.

You’ll be accountable for defining the life cycle of operational training for the warehouse function and partnering the Operations team, People Team and Agency Partners to assure delivery to plan and that all standards are maintained in the execution of training.

Stakeholder management is key – you will be working with key stakeholders to develop plans and roadmaps to transform current ways of working – partnering with the operation to define operational training processes and drive delivery.

Quality Assurance is also a massive part of this role – expect to show strong attention to detail when working with documentation, training records, SOP’s and performance measurement.

You will be expected to have an eye for data- coordinating dashboards and reporting for the function including weekly and monthly reports, steering reviews and other associated areas

We are looking for an inspirational leader – who will manage a team of training specialists- including hiring, setting and monitoring of annual performance objectives, coaching, and individual development plans.

Qualifications

  • Experience delivering an operational training agenda in a large scale, complex warehouse environment (multi site advantageous)
  • Strong leadership and motivation skills
  • Experienced managing projects and extremely organised
  • Able to conceptualise and design the interaction between user interfaces and training requirements
  • Strong presentation / facilitation skills and a confident communicator
  • Self-motivated & the drive to influence others in order to execute plans / activities
  • Excellent problem solving skills with a solution focus
  • Strong negotiation and mediation skills with the ability to manage conflict
