Monday to Friday 8am – 5pm (Flexible) or Part time Monday to Wednesday 8am – 5pm
£11.44-£12.00ph + Quarterly Bonus of up to £125
Ideal Recruit are looking for Warehouse Operatives for our client based in Burnley. The main responsibilities are to ensure the safe and efficient receipt, storage and dispatch of goods and products to effectively support business operations whilst maintaining an excellent service to customers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Complete tasks assigned by the management team accurately and efficiently, without compromising your own and your colleagues’ safety.
- Present completed work to carriers, ensuring the product has sufficient packaging to avoid damage whilst in transit to the customer. This includes all processes from goods-in to loading trailers.
- Follow safe systems of work for all processes and feedback to the Operations Process & Improvements Coach where new opportunities or changes are identified.
- Strive to achieve and exceed individual productivity targets, as set by the management team, to contribute to the overall success of the company.
- Display positive workplace behaviour and use professional and respectful language when speaking with colleagues and members of the management team to help maintain positive working relationships and a positive working environment to all.
- Maintain a high standard of Health & Safety in all aspects of work and ensure that designated work areas are kept clean, tidy and hazard free.
- Report all issues, errors, accidents, incidents or near misses to a supervisor or Warehouse Manager in a timely manner.
- Be flexible and adaptable to the changing needs and priorities as they occur, ensuring the successful completion of all work activity requested.
Requirements:
- Knowledge of Health & Safety, and actions to keep yourself and others safe.
- Knowledge of Warehouse practices and systems of work.
- Use of hand scanning RF equipment.
- Understanding of Data Protection and GDPR.
- Experience of working as a Warehouse Operative or a similar role
- Experience of warehouse systems.
- Ability to perform basic numerical calculations (addition, subtraction etc.)
- Work effectively on own initiative as well as part of a team.
- Good interpersonal skills across all methods of communication.
- Well organised and efficient.
Qualifications:
- FLT licence or Similar (desirable)
