Job description: We have an exciting opportunity for one of Europe’s largest delivery hubs due to the growth and expansion. We are recruiting for Warehouse Operative and Pickers in Barnsley.

The Role:

• Sort and organise incoming parcels accurately and efficiently based on designated routes and destinations.
• Operate conveyor belts, scanners, and other equipment to facilitate the sorting process.
• Ensure proper labelling and categorisation of parcels to prevent errors in delivery.
• Collaborate with team members to maintain a smooth workflow and meet nightly deadlines.
• Identify damaged parcels and follow company protocols for proper handling and documentation.
• Assist in loading and unloading delivery vehicles, optimising space utilisation.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area to uphold safety and efficiency standards.
• Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including those related to safety and security.

Shift patterns available:
AM(6-2),PM(2-10), Night(10-6)

• Full time
• Part time

Pay rate: £10.42 – £11.86 / hour

Requirements:

• Prior experience in warehouse, logistics, or parcel sorting is preferred but not required.
• Ability to work on your feet for extended periods and lift packages of varying weights.
• Strong attention to detail to ensure accurate sorting and labeling of parcels.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
• Team player with excellent communication skills.
• Flexibility to work night shifts and occasional overtime as needed.
• Reliable transportation to and from the warehouse location.
