Company description: The company is an established distributor and wholesaler operating in the automotive sector for over 85 years. It specializes in providing a wide range of products including maintenance items, accessories, and parts to both retail businesses and consumers.
Position: Warehouse operator
Duties:
Picking Orders using Hand Scanner:
Picking light orders with a hand scanner involves using handheld scanning devices to efficiently and accurately fulfil orders in a warehouse or distribution centre.
Maintaining Cleanliness:
Always keep the warehouse tidy and clean, ensuring aisles and work areas are free from clutter.
Dispose of packaging materials and waste properly to maintain a safe and organized environment.
Team Collaboration:
Work closely with other warehouse staff to ensure smooth operations.
Communicate effectively with supervisors or managers regarding any challenges or concerns.
Delivery:
When required (holiday/ sickness cover) – to help out with delivering products to our customers in a timely manner.
Required:
- Previous experience with hand scanner picking,
- 1 year van delivery experience
- Full UK Driving license (maximum 6 points)
- Flexibility in the morning hours, 6am start if required
Hours:
- 8.30am-5.30pm Monday-Friday
- 8am – 12pm Each other Saturday
Position:
- Full Time
- temp to perm opportunity for the right candidate
Pay:
- standard pay rate starts from £10.87 p/h
