Job description: SIG Plc. is a leading supplier of specialist building materials to trade customers across Europe as a specialist distributor of insulation and interiors products and merchant of roofing and exterior products.

We are currently looking to recruit a HGV Class 2 Driver & Warehouse Operative who will be at the heartbeat of our operations and act as a custodian of our great customer service.

What does the role involve?
As HGV Driver, you will be working in a safety critical role and be responsible for delivering to a schedule and working to timescales. You will be required to maintain good care of your vehicle, ensure all loads are secured, perform daily safety checks, and keep transport documents and paperwork updated. You will be required to assist with deliveries, un-loading and loading of vehicles at the branch, safe storage of deliveries and the movement and accurate picking of orders. We are looking for someone who will maintain a clean and safe working environment and who will be an asset to the day-to-day operations within the branch.

The successful candidate will require:

  • Valid Class 2 licence
  • Valid CPC Card and Digi Tachograph card
  • No more than 6 points on your licence (for insurance purposes)
  • Experience in multi-drop driving for a delivery or distribution company
  • A friendly, professional manner and dedicated to great customer service
  • Experience in manual handling
  • To be a great team player
  • Good knowledge of safe working practices
  • Hold a Forklift Licence (desirable/essential)
