Job description: We are looking for experienced warehouse operative with FLT counterbalance license. Our prestige client is leading UK supplier of lime-based products located in Much Wenlock
Your Time at Work
Monday till Friday 8am-5pm
– Train and assist allocated assistant to a standard whereby they can fulfil the role and sufficiently cover for your holidays and absences.
– Day to Day supervision of the warehouse, associated tasks, and allocated assistant’s tasks
– FLT including loading and offloading of vehicles in a timely manner.
– Checking quality of incoming and outgoing deliveries
– Picking and packing of customer orders
– Prioritise outgoing by delivery service selected, e.g. next working day, economy
– Continually relieving packing area of manufactured goods by FLT
– Booking of and quality checking returned items, issuing corresponding paperwork to customer support department.
– Stock rotation and checking of expiry dates.
– Stock takes as required.
– Keep the warehouse organised, and tidy.
– Contribute towards Health & Safety requirements, including;
o Daily FLT checks,
o Racking checks
– Inspection of goods in and issuing corresponding paperwork to the relevant department and reporting any damages
– Carry out duties assigned by your immediate supervisor in a safe and orderly fashion, this may be, from time-to-time, duties above and beyond your normal, expected set duties.
– Helping operations to be efficient by engaging in lean manufacturing
– Notifying immediate supervision of any risks or dangers to yourself or your colleagues
– Ensuring the workstations/ area remain clean, tidy, and safe.
– Reporting any concerns, you may have to your immediate supervisor of your inability to carry out your tasks as expected.
– To apply yourself in a manner that would enable good performance through teamwork.
– Setting a good overall example to others
– Any other duties as reasonably requested by management.
Warehouse operative duties may change from time to time based on the needs of the business, and your own abilities. You may be required to cover the duties of colleagues while they are away from the business in the same way that your colleagues may cover your duties whilst you are away.
This role will move to a Supervisor role for a right candidate, while full training is completed (pay increase involve)
