Role: Warehouse Operative – Forklift

Salary: £25,000 per annum

Start Date: January 2024 (ASAP)

Working Days/Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM – 4:30 PM

Location: Harrow, North-West London

Objective of Role:

We are seeking a skilled Warehouse Operative with a Forklift license to oversee the daily operations of two warehouses in Harrow, North-West London. The primary responsibilities include managing the receipt, storage, and dispatch of various products.

Main Responsibilities:

• Receive and process goods inwards, including stock and custom items, ranging from small parcels to pallets.

• Ensure accurate checking and efficient storage of incoming stock.

• Timely preparation of deliveries to clients, meeting high standards of efficiency.

• Establish and maintain positive working relationships with all employees.

• Collaborate closely with Operations and Warehouse Managers.

• Adhere to health and safety requirements at all times.

• Maintain cleanliness and presentation of warehouses and surrounding areas.

• Handle forklift operations and associated paperwork.

• Attend to ‘Returns’ promptly, returning items to stock.

• Conduct random stock checks as requested by operations/accounts.

• Manage and organise stock and storage areas within the warehouse.

• Build and maintain relationships with delivery drivers.

• Oversee equipment maintenance associated with warehousing activities.

• Supervise temporary staff, addressing H&S concerns.

• Act in accordance with first aid requirements within the warehouses.

• Report issues related to site security, cleaning, and pest control.

• Foster an organised approach with the motto, ‘a place for everything and everything in its place.’

• Be flexible to perform additional duties as required by the organisation.

Skills & Qualifications:

• Proven experience in manual handling and warehouse operations.

• Forklift license is essential.

• Proficient in handling paperwork and warehouse administrative duties.

• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

• Ability to manage changing priority workloads effectively.

• Positive, proactive, and dependable team player.

• Commitment to delivering excellent customer service.

• Computer literacy, experience with Microsoft Office is ideal.
