We are looking to grow our Logistics family; we are at the heart of the store’s operation and our customers’ shopping experience.

We are currently recruiting for the Goods Flow Inbound department. Various contracts both full time and part time.

Goods Flow Inbound is where the magic starts. We receive, store, handle and replenish every product sold at IKEA Glasgow. Our team consists of forklift drivers and porters to ensure that we deliver the highest availability in a safe environment.

Due to Health & Safety regulations, applicants must be over the age of 18.

Expected Starting Date: February 2024.

Interviews will take place from the 15th of January.

WHAT WE OFFER

  • £11.45 hourly rate.
  • Full time: 30-39 hours per week, working 5 days out of 7 days & 1 in, 1 off weekends
  • Part time: 16-24 hours per week, working 4 or 5 days out of 7 days & 3 out of 4 weekends
  • Operational hours: 10pm – 10am, shift times are various within this window.
  • Night shift allowance of £2.25 per hour, given between 10pm and 6am.
  • Forklift driver allowance of £1.50 per hour.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO HAVE

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING DAY TO DAY

As part of the logistics team in a store, you will play a key part in ensuring a smooth customer shopping experience.

To take responsibility as part of the goods flow team for the completion of the replenishment process in the most efficient, commercial and safe way possible before the store opens. In addition, secure the goods flow operations necessary for preparing/picking orders for customers.

To develop and use knowledge and experience of IKEA operations, including the IKEA tools and expertise of colleagues in the goods flow team to achieve the agreed goods availability for customers at the lowest possible costs.

  • You will be responsible for contributing to the highest goods availability for customers by the correct and on-time execution of the store goods flow tasks.
  • You will work with our internal systems to ensure that customers have accurate and full stock availability at all times.
  • You will ensure a safe working environment for yourself, your co-workers, and our customers.
  • Contribute to the agreed goals of the action plan in the daily work.
  • Perform effectively the store goods flow operation and administrative tasks that support an efficient goods flow process.
  • Work according to inventory and administrative guidelines to maintain the data integrity of the inventory in order to maximise product availability for customers.
  • Commit to all IKEA health, safety and security rules and requirements, and actively help colleagues to prevent any incidents involving co-workers, customers, equipment and building.
  • Contribute to optimised goods flow operations in the store by working in a lean, simple and cost-conscious way using and sharing good examples.
  • Be available to support colleagues in the department and other areas of the store when required
