Job description: The Recruitment Crowd are currently recruiting on behalf of our industry-leading client based in the Southampton area. We are looking for multiple Warehouse Operatives to join the team for various shift patterns.
Hours: Shifts across Sunday to Friday, days and nights.
Pay Rate: £10.42-£11.71 per hour.
Location: Southampton, SO16.
Job Type: Ongoing with an opportunity for permanent for the right candidate.
The role:
- Sort and organize incoming parcels accurately and efficiently based on designated routes and destinations.
- Operate conveyor belts, scanners, and other equipment to facilitate the sorting process.
- Ensure proper labelling and categorization of parcels to prevent errors in delivery.
- Collaborate with team members to maintain a smooth workflow and meet deadlines.
- Identify damaged parcels and follow company protocols for proper handling and documentation.
- Assist in loading and unloading delivery vehicles, optimizing space utilization.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area to uphold safety and efficiency standards.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including those related to safety and security.
Requirements:
- Prior experience in warehouse, logistics, or parcel sorting is preferred but not required.
- Ability to work on your feet for extended periods and lift packages of varying weights.
- Strong attention to detail to ensure accurate sorting and labelling of parcels.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
- Team player with excellent communication skills.
- Reliable transportation to and from the warehouse location.
