QC Checker
Stead House Distribution Centre – Darlington

Role Purpose:
The QC Checker plays a key role in supporting the Operational Management teams by reporting the performance against picking and accuracy KPI’s by conducting Accuracy and Compliance checks on DC and Stock Count operations. This role reports to the DC and Inventory Auditor.

A typical day in this role includes:
Accurately conduct QC checks, post picking on store deliveries prior to despatch, achieving the required minimum of 1.5% of pick volume checked.
Check picked orders 100% against relevant assignment and document any errors identified.
Investigate root cause if errors found during checks and feedback to relevant DC, and Job and Talent Operational teams.
Document any pick compliance issues identified during check feedback to relevant DC and Job and Talent Operational teams.
Compile daily and weekly accuracy and compliance reports distributing to the relevant stake holders.
Conduct sample checks as required, minimum 5%, on DC PI counts completed by Stock Control team and record findings.
Conduct accuracy checks along with Audit team at DC stock takes when required.
Always maintain a high level of health and safety awareness around the warehouse, ensuring own safety and that of others.
Carry out any other reasonable tasks requested by line management for which you are trained, competent and safe to do.

What you’ll need:
Good analytical and IT skills.
High level of numeracy.
Experience of DC pick operations desirable.
Good teamwork skills as well as the ability to work on your own.
