8pm-6am, Monday- Friday

£35,000 DOE

Main Duties:

  • Supervise the efficient receipt, storage, and dispatch of all customers’ goods to ensure they are received and dispatched appropriately and productivity to established operational and financial targets and agreements
  • Prioritise and assign daily work
  • Supervise and amend pick and pack orders to ensure they are delivered on time and in full
  • Complete inventory checks, monthly, quarterly, annually, and ad hoc)
  • Liaise with customers, suppliers, Transport Department, and transport companies
  • Ensuring all staff are carrying out their accountabilities/responsibilities in an effective manner
  • Book in the receipt and discharge of all inbound freight, manually and via EDI
  • Plan future capacity requirements
  • Respond to and deal with customer communication by email and telephone
  • Ensure good a relationship with our customers for storage and servicing
  • Keep the Warehouse Manager informed of any issues involving day to day operations or staff
  • Daily and weekly maintenance of the Warehouse, layout, and housekeeping
  • Stock transfer and update with the Company’s Warehouse Management System (Cargowise)
  • Supervise and co-ordinate the collection and disposal of site waste
  • Supervise and maintain the Warehouse plant and machinery, ensuring fork truck checks are carried out daily and documented and all equipment is regularly inspected and serviced
  • Implement Risk Assessments and Safe Working Practices
  • Act as Fire Marshall
  • Hazardous goods spillage advisor

  • Flexible with working hours
  • Hold an in-date counterbalance forklift license
  • Manual Handling qualification Experience
  • Warehouse supervision
  • Experience as an operative in in groupage services
  • Motivational and able to set a good example to encourage teamwork within the workforce
  • Skilfully manage conflict and disciplinaries
  • Able to identify key team members and give praise
