Pertemps are recruiting for a Warehouse Supervisor on behalf of a large client based in Glasgow City Centre.
Position: Warehouse Supervisor
Location: Glasgow City Centre
Contract: Temporary to Permanent
Rate of Pay: £13.43 per hour for basic hours, overtime paid at premium rate
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage resources to meet operational volumes while maintaining productivity measures and accuracy.
- Actively manage sickness and absence in accordance with company processes.
- Communicate effectively with colleagues through shift briefs and 1:1 meetings to ensure standards are maintained.
- Foster an equal opportunity approach to colleague development.
- Oversee day-to-day shift operations and performance using KPIs and productivity rates.
- Champion a forward-thinking and innovative approach to operations, promoting continuous improvement.
- Identify and develop the potential of team members, fostering a customer-first approach.
- Ensure compliance with Health & Safety, Food Safety, Employment, legislative, and Environmental policies.
- Participate in quality initiatives, End of Shift delivery, and promote environmental sustainability.
- Maintain hygiene levels as per company standards.
- Manage designated Area KPIs to achieve targets and engage in area improvements to generate savings.
- Support colleague development plans and manage absence, holiday planning, rosters, and Working Time Directive compliance.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a supervisory role within a warehouse environment.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop team members.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proven ability to drive operational performance and continuous improvement.
- Knowledge of Health & Safety, Food Safety, and Employment legislation.
- Proficiency in roster management and absence management practices.
