WGSN seeks talent globally to work within a business that offers a unique blend of specialist problem solvers, data analysts and innovative thinkers who put trends and data together to provide the answers to create tomorrow.You will be responsible for owning, enhancing, and creating WGSN’s data products and services used both internally and externally by our clients. Our proprietary data is foundational to all our strategic forecasting across fashion, beauty, interiors, food & drink, consumer tech, and consumer insight.You will collaborate with our subject matter experts, data scientists, engineers, and analysts to optimise and develop WGSN’s data assets, products, and services, translating business objectives into workable solutions that will drive top line revenue growth and drive bottom line efficiencies.Key accountabilitiesProvide high quality and accurate analysis across a variety of new and existing quant data sets to ensure quality and value to the business.Tackle the challenge of extracting business intelligence from large data sets. Ability to see beyond the numbers.Proactively suggest ways to visualise complex data sets, generating charts/tables that give insightful views of key business issues and opportunities.Maintain and enhance existing data assets, products, and services with operational rigour and quality.Measure the value and impact data assets, products, and services have on the business over time.Responsibility for projects being delivered in a relevant, insightful and commercially successful manner with data integrity at the core.Effectively manage and work with external data vendors and suppliers to receive data on time and with quality.Engage and collaborate with key stakeholders in the business and with the data science, engineering and analyst teams.Ability to effectively translate business needs into workable solutions.Clearly communicate and educate the wider business and clients on data products and services, including any collateral used by the sales and marketing teams.Take an active part in the development of new and existing data assets and identifying areas of opportunity for the business.Confident to take an active and vocal role in team and project meetings, putting forward new ideas and suggestions.This list is not exhaustive and there may be other activities you are required to deliver.Skills, experience & qualifications requiredAn ability to explain data clearly and concisely.Solid, proven experience in a data analyst role.Creative, commercial, resourceful, innovative & able to cope under pressure.An ability to clean, analyse and summarise large amounts of data.An ability to get things done and effectively problem solve.An analytical mind, with the ability to distinguish between what is important and what is not, making the complex simple.Curious, flexible and a strategic thinker with gravitas that can inspire their clients, peers and more junior colleagues.Collaborative with excellent communication and interpersonal skills comfortable to tackle work within a global team.Experience working with data engineering and data science teams is a plus.Basic knowledge of data engineering and data pipelines or strong desire to learn.Basic knowledge of data science or a strong desire to learn.Technical Experience with:Data Warehouses (one or multiple): Snowflake, SQL, BigQuery, etc.Languages (one or multiple): SQL (must), Python/R (proficient in one), Java, etc.Visualisation (one or multiple): Tableau, Looker, Power BI, etc.Sprint Planning/Development using JIRAWhat we offerOur benefits and wellbeing package offers flexible benefits you can tailor to your own personal needs, including:25 days of holiday per year – with an option to buy/ sell up to 5 daysPension, Life Assurance and Income ProtectionFlexible benefits platform with options including Private Medical, Dental Insurance & Critical IllnessEmployee assistance programme, season ticket loans and cycle to work schemeVolunteering opportunities and charitable giving optionsGreat learning and development opportunitiesMore about WGSNWGSN is the global authority on consumer trend forecasting.We help brands around the world create the right products at the right time for tomorrow’s consumer.Our valuesWe Are EverywhereThe future is everything, it happens everywhere.
